SQL Server 2005 Bootstrapping

I find it curious that the Windows 3.1 Installer is required to install SQL Server 2005. Why not script that install and then install?

One good thing MS did change with the .NET Framework is that it seems to be much easier to deploy. Click-Once & SQL Server both seem to have that part down.
